MSAccess: Parameters

Scenario: I have a query in Microsoft Access that is creating a new table with data going to a certain number of years. I want the query to prompt me for the number of years, as opposed to editing the query and putting in the number of years.
Use “Parameters” to do this. In the Criteria field, you would normally have something like:

 <= 20


 = "Yes"

to filter your query. Instead, type the question you want to appear on screen in brackets.


Now, when you run the query, a popup box will appear asking for input:
