Painting a Wall

Before we left for India, the ministry partners in  India asked if we would be able and interested in painting a wall.  Being the very helpful sorts that the team is, we thought this was a minor request and had no problem with the task of painting.  In fact, the more walls to paint the better.

When we got to the Tuition Pre School where the painting was to take place, we were slightly surprised to find out that the request to  “paint the wall” lost a little bit in translation.  The actual question was if we would be able to paint a mural.  We couldn’t say no after already committing.  Plus we wouldn’t let the lack of an artist stop us from completing the tasks.  No, this would become a challenge.

Sophia was voted to have the best artistic ability on the team and drew the outlines of the mural that we would all be painting

The finished mural. It looks a bit childlike... perfect for a preschool!
